This Privacy Policy explains how Matthew Canning-Wall / WallsWorld (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit www.wallsworld.co.uk.

The website currently displays consent controls for optional third-party services including IONOS SiteAnalytics, Google Maps, and a Website Translator, and states that these services may collect data about your activity if enabled. IONOS says SiteAnalytics does not use cookies, anonymises IP addresses immediately after transmission, and collects referrer, requested page/file, browser and device data, operating system, and access time for statistical evaluation and technical optimisation.

I collect data:

  • automatically when you browse the site
  • through optional third-party services, but only where you choose to enable them through the site’s consent settings

I use personal data to:

The ICO says privacy information should identify the controller, purposes, lawful basis, recipients, retention periods, rights, and complaint route, and it should be provided when personal data is collected.

Optional tools visible on the site currently include:

The ICO states that PECR applies to cookies and similar technologies, and where personal data is involved, UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act also apply.

If you contact me using the website form or by email, I will use your information to deal with your enquiry and maintain any resulting correspondence.

Please do not send sensitive personal data or confidential material unless it is genuinely necessary and you are content for me to receive it.

I do not sell your personal data.

I may share personal data with trusted service providers where necessary to operate the website or respond to you, including:

  • website hosting and website platform providers
  • analytics providers
  • map or translation providers you choose to enable
  • professional advisers, if reasonably necessary
  • courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities where required by law

Based on what is visible on the site, service providers may include IONOS and Google. The site itself identifies Google Maps, Website Translator, and IONOS SiteAnalytics as optional services. 

9. International transfers

Some third-party providers may process data outside the UK.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, I will take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as adequacy regulations, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms used by the relevant provider.

Google states that embedded Google services are covered by its Privacy Policy, and Google publishes information about its data transfer frameworks.

I keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to enquiries, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

  • contact enquiries and related correspondence: up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is needed
  • contractual or project-related communications: for the duration of the relationship and a reasonable period afterwards
  • technical and analytics data: for the period set by the relevant hosting or analytics provider, or for as long as needed for website security and performance
